21 CFR Part 11 (Electronic Records/Electronic Signatures)
Secure electronic records and signatures are a critical requirement for 21 CFR Part 11 FDA validation within the pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and personal care products industries. This feature includes electronic signatures, multiple approval levels, record snapshots, a high level of security and configurability, and the ability to track all changes and edits made to electronic forms or documents. Such protection extends to dataLock, a Datastream function that monitors “back-end” database tables for unauthorized tampering. BAIM
The Business Applications Integration Module (BAIM) integrates Datastream 7i and Oracle Financials, providing a single integrated solution for financial and asset maintenance management for purchasing, inventory, general ledger, and accounts payable. This integration solution enables companies that use Oracle Financials and Datastream 7i to seamlessly share information between the two systems. Calibration
The Datastream 7i Calibration module provides a comprehensive calibration program that is completely integrated with the Datastream 7i Asset Performance Management application. The module was developed with the cooperation of existing customers to address broad-based regulatory compliance within an easy-to-use format. Thorough records for calibration operations are preserved, and the system offers detailed reports designed to serve calibration needs and to offer proper documentation for future calibration auditing and review. Databridge
The Databridge exchange works seamlessly both in a client/server environment and over the Web to provide XML-based data integration. Providing application programming interfaces (APIs) to Datastream products, Databridge allows users to link to external applications easily. For customers wanting to integrate their Datastream product with applications such as Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP and a wide variety of other applications, Databridge provides a standard integration solution. Datastream 7i includes pre-defined reports, but many organizations require the ability to build customer reports. Datastream 7i Advanced Reporting provides them that ability. It is a completely Web-based enterprise reporting solution that helps organizations maximize the data gathered by Datastream 7i. Datastream 7i Advanced Reporting is a complete solution, combining the power of Datastream 7i with the flexibility of Cognos ReportNet. Datastream has partnered with Cognos to integrate this award-winning enterprise reporting solution and provide Datastream 7i customers with the ability to create fully-customized reports that best meet specific asset management needs.

Fleet Module (VMRS 2000)
The Fleet Module includes Vehicle Maintenance Reporting System (VMRS) codes and additional custom fields that are tailored to fleet management. Focusing on the transportation industry's greatest opportunities for productivity and cost-per-mile savings, the Fleet module enables transportation companies to process warranty claims, manage tires and fuel, and improve vehicle performance through preventive maintenance efficiently.

GIS Integration
The GIS advanced module is a Web-based solution that leverages ESRI ArcIMS, the leading Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping software. With the intuitive, flexible interface of Datastream 7i combined with seamless GIS integration, organizations can pinpoint assets and access critical information prior to servicing, streamline workflow on widely-dispersed equipment, and create a consolidated, easy-to-access view of asset location and history, resulting in increased workforce efficiency and lower costs. Requestor
Requestor allows companies to easily increase the number of users submitting work requests and purchase requests without significantly increasing their financial investment. With Requestor, companies can authorize employees to enter and approve work requests and enter and view the status of purchase requests over the Web. Requestor effectively extends basic Datastream 7i functionality from room-to-room or site-to-site and lowers the total cost of ownership.

Requestor is sold only as a supplemental set of seats in conjunction with the purchase of Datastream 7i, and it allows users to:

  • Login via Datastream 7i accounts and security
  • View the status of work requests and purchase requests
  • Enter work requests and purchase requests

    Web Services Development Toolkit
    Web services offer a fully synchronous option to integrating applications with Datastream 7i. With the Datastream 7i Web Services Development Toolkit, customers can create external applications whose transactions update Datastream 7i in real-time.

      Workflow
      With pre-configured workflows for four basic operations, Datastream 7i includes the ability to track sequences of events of various operations, such as work order and purchase order generation, to automatically alert the originator or selected approver of the action required. Users may also access workflow information from the homepage to view notifications of pending actions and status changes and respond to action items. Instant notification and responses via e-mail without logging in to Datastream 7i gives users the ability to receive updates regardless of time or location.
