GlaxoSmithKline do Brasil Optimizes Asset Management with Datastream 7i

The Challenge
A pharmaceutical company must optimize its productive processes in order to guarantee product quality and time of delivery, enabling them to meet one of their most important challenges in market positioning: trust.

“We needed an asset management solution that included key performance indicators, workflow of work orders, inventory management, and purchase requisitions as well as help us meet our objectives of quality compliance set by the company—such as access control, and a robust and safe data base,” said Ariovaldo Cruppe Júnior, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Project Management  Brasil.

GSK needed a comprehensive asset management system that could help meet their objectives, satisfy the requirements of the FDA and other regulators, and help improve processes and operations.

The Solution
Datastream 7i was implemented at GlaxoSmithKline do Brasil in May 2004 to manage service orders, preventive maintenance routines, purchase requisitions, equipment inventory and asset control.
